To kick my reading slump I am re-reading the entire Harry
Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
Let's get this party started.
Here’s why I’m reading it and I think most of them are
pretty good arguments that you should too!
: Because K over at Keeping up with K did earlier this year and
it gave me the brilliant idea
: Because although I have every book but the first one, I
was able to find that beauty for $.99
: Because I grew up with Harry, Hermoine and Ron and I felt
I owed them a visit (man we’re old now)
: Because the lessons within are more powerful than the spells
: Because the movies don’t do it justice
: Because there is no better coming of age story
Except maybe this one... |
: Because I wanted something I wouldn’t cry while reading
(much)
: Because in some places the books are banned and I like
being a rebel
: Because playing Cedric Diggory was Robert
Pattinson's true calling and I like to read imagining him as the character
Because I get to rediscover my love for the series
: Because Rowling released this short story recently and I
needed more
: Because I want to escape my boring muggle life (and go to Hogwarts)
: Because I all I want in life is to be a witch (so where is my Hagrid to break the news?)
: Because I am a Potterhead through and
through and was part of the HP generation
And because I will love this story and its characters
Always
So who's with me?
I LOVE all of your reasons. I'm halfway through Azkaban on my summer re-read and there are so many things they leave out of the movies because if they hadn't they'd be 7 hours long.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kasey! I think they did a pretty good job on the movies considering, but books are ALWAYS better than the movie remake in my opinion. You are way farther ahead of me - I'm only about half way through the Sorcerer's Stone. I'm glad someone else is re-reading this summer too!
