.....................................................
Hi guys! Laura is in Vegas right now possibly just getting in from a crazy night out and while she's gone I'll be sharing my own Vegas adventure with you. I'm Terri from Crazythoughs where life is wonderful but it's crazy though and I have been to Las Vegas several times which lead to my idea for this guest post. My most recent trip was last year for my two year wedding anniversary. We love traveling and hadn't been to Nevada together yet (it was my husbands first Vegas trip) and since the dates worked out to be on our anniversary we plotted to renew those old wedding vows of ours. Of course I had to get married where Britney Spears did and it was so fun! We got picked up by a limo, road down the strip and then sat in line until it was our time for an off duty Elvis impersonator to do our vow renewal. For around $200 bucks and fourish hours of time we renewed our vows in Vegas.
It was weird, random, and fun (you can read about it here, here, and here) but lets get down to business and talk about the WILD side of Vegas and we can all imagine what Laura is getting into. Is she seeing the Beatles Cirque Du Solei LOVE show right now? Is she going to the top of the Stratosphere or riding the roller coaster at NEW YORK NEW YORK?
Or is she in the lazy river at the MGM right now getting motor-boated by a middle aged housewife? She very well could be because that is EXACTLY what happened to me. How this happened I still myself am not 100% sure but just like Jamie Foxx says - I blame it on the alcohol. 100oz of Pina Colada to be exact.
We had that thing refilled twice on this crazy pool day... it was the dumbest thing I have ever done. A few $1 shots of Bacardi 151 thrown in the mix and us two idiots twirling/spinning/swimming in the lazy river for 4 plus hours led to us making a bunch of new friends. One group of people that we would float by, cheer, and take shots with at one point got a little too Vegas wild for me. One of the women jumped in the water right as we got to them, took a shot, swam over to me, and then I was motor-boated. My husband stood there in shock and then busted out laughing and saying, "OMG THIS IS VEGAS!!!" We laughed and laughed and laughed. VEGAS is crazy. After that things got a bit fuzzy. All I know is that we eventually made it back to our room - Chad lost his shirt and we passed out at 5PM.We only spent 3 days in Vegas and that was enough for us. We realize now that we are old and married which means we have no business drinking 200oz of booze in one day. When you go to Vegas though you have to do it right..and that means getting married, seeing a show, losing some money, get way too drunk, and eat way too much, Basically anything in excess and everything to the extreme... that is what Vegas means to me.
I hope you enjoyed my Vegas story and I can't wait to read about yours Laura!
I might have been motor boated a time or two after a fun filled day or a-a-a-a-a-alcohol. Funny story - one of my friends' son remembered that part of the verse of that song.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear what Laura got into hahah Vegas is CRAZYYyyyy
DeleteWow! That's awesome! Stuff like that is what makes renting a limo not only fitting, but a perfect setup for couples everywhere. Makes the whole event important and legit, right? Good for you! Thanks for sharing all about that fun-filled adventure! I wish you all the best!
