Hello wonderful people. Thanks for tuning in to this week’s
episode of Hump Day Confessions, brought to you by our link up leader Kat.
I have to admit I don’t have a lot to admit this week – compared to last week it’s been a gem.
Let’s see…
I skipped a sorority sister’s wedding to go to pool party
this weekend. So there’s that. We drank, we swam, we danced, we played a little
Cards Against Humanity and one person passed out in the middle of a field.
Things were wild, what can I say.
My “healthy” eating is bound to kick in any day. Not. No but
really I do have plans to get tons of healthy groceries tonight and get back on
track. Although I don’t think anything can counter balance all the junk that
was consumed this weekend.
My little sister left for school Friday and I am kind of
bummed. Partially because we have become so close over the last couple years
and partially because she’s my built in dog/cat sitter and I miss that (and her).
I have a free pass to the Caldwell Night Rodeo (which is a
really big one apparently) and I probably won’t go. I feel like it’s such a
waste. But I have other shit to do this week that is more important. Maybe I
can make Saturday work… anyone want to go with me?
The canker sore in the inside of my front bottom lip is
really starting to piss me off. I tried putting Tums on it (via Pinterest) and
it didn’t work that well. Any other miracle fixes you can share?
I already have too much planned this weekend and it is
stressing me out. Why does everybody plan everything in August? I
may have to bail on one or more things. It’s ok to say no right? (haha like
that will ever happen).
And that’s about it on this humpity of hump days.

I swear Fried Food Friday has turned into an everyday occurrence for me! Those apples on the counter? Nah, homie I want french fries. I skip many a sorority sisters wedding... mostly just to stay at home and drink wine on my couch, so I fully support the pool party!
ReplyDeleteI tend to eat bad on the weekends too! & I hope your sorority sister doesn't see your blog :)
ReplyDeleteYou can't say yes to everything although the rodeo does sound cool!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of this post - great way to get a few things off your chest, while providing me with entertainment too! Haha.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to healthy eating kicking in anytime soon, I know that feeling! I swear I did eat well for one week...but it appears another five weeks have passed since then!
Thanks Catherine! That's the same boat I'm in for healthy eating, I do it for a while and then it disappears for months at a time! Trying to commit to it this time around though.
Deletei always use jamaican rum on canker sores. i dip a qtip in the rum and put it right on the canker sore. hurts like a mofo but closes that baby up asap. the next day i hardly even feel it!
ReplyDeletethanks for linking up!

Vodka and Soda
The spice "alum" will help with the canker sore. It'll hurt like a mother effer, but if you place a grain of it inside the sore and let it sit for a little while (it tastes really bad, so I recommend holding your lip out). It'll create a little "seal" over the sore. I also found swishing some coconut oil around a couple times a day really helped. I had a monster one under my tongue a couple weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteThat ecard sums up my life perfectly! I always make plans and get super excited until I remember that I am introverted, hate crowds, and dislike being obligated to do anything!
ReplyDeleteI can go months without any big events happening and then BAM I get hit with 10 in one month, you have to say no to some.... lol
