Humpday Excitement!

I know I struggle with mixing it up on Wednesdays, so surprise! I’m doing the same thing I always do, linking up with Kathy. Haha did I get you there?

Today I’m doing confessions per the usual, but with a theme. We all love THEMES right? Today’s theme is “Thing’s I’m Excited For”… thrilling, I know!

Here are my confessions…

In case you missed it on Twitter yesterday I received a scholarship for Young Professionals to go to the IAFE (International Association of Fairs and Expos) Convention in Las Vegas in December. And I AM BEYOND EXCITED! Seriously I'm like a little kid finding out they are going to Disneyland – all expenses paid. I mean Vegas is the Disneyland of adults right? Sure it’s work and all, but it’s bound to have some fun mixed in.

The BF is getting a promotion at work. I am really happy for him, but on the more selfish note, I’m more excited for myself. Currently he works 12 hour days and it usually results in him tired and often grumpy the second half of the week when we have time to spend together. His promotion will move him to “normal people” hours of 8-5, five days a week, and I CAN’T WAIT! We haven’t been on the same schedule for the entire time we have been dating – over 3 ½ years, so this is a big deal.

I got my first free thing as a blogger this week. I think I have officially made it in the blog world because my very first FREE product is on its way in the mail for my review. I am so stinking excited. Stay tuned for that post.

I’m getting a bonus on my next paycheck (this Friday!). It’s not a lot, but it is a bonus and I’m not complaining. Lord knows I seriously need the money!

Despite being seriously poor I’m going on a road trip next weekend to visit my best friend. I can’t wait. “Reunited and it feeeeeeels so gooood…”

I am glad I have things to look forward too. Beyond the basics (hello Halloween is coming and then Turkey Day and then CHRISTMAS!!!) I also have a Blake Shelton concert next week followed by going to see Whitney, then the Wedding Roadtrip, then VEGAS in December. Having things to look forward to always make it easier as the weather starts to turn and the days get shorter.  It also means I need to get my ass in gear to look smokin’ hot for the wedding and Vegas….. eeeeeeek.

Alright ladies – sorry for the all about me and my happy things post – but tell me, what are your confessions this week?

  4. love it! You have so many exciting things going on! I have to admit, sometimes I wish that hubby worked different hours, just so that I could go pee without him yelling at me through the door. Is he a 2 year old you ask? Nope. That's just the way it is.

  10. When I'm poor and need dollas, the only thing I want to do is spend money. When I get paid, I'm just like, meh nothing to buy. WHYYY?!?!
Mr. Mystery just got to his shore duty station, which was supposed to mean less hours at work, and so far that's not really been the case. Once I get there in October, I hope he finds a way to tell them that he has other things to attend to (me). :)
