Friday Favorites | My Christmas Wishlist

I know it sounds like a complete lie when I say this, but I honestly haven't thought much about a "wish list" this year. I've had this post on the calendar for a while now and only had one solid item for the list.

I think the reason I have such trouble with it is that some of my wish list items are a little above and beyond what I feel comfortable asking for. I don't like to ask for expensive things, particularly this year, when due to my own financial situation, I've cut back so much on my own gifting to others.

Still it's fun to wish right? Here's what I'd love to find under my tree this year:

1 | A Spiralizer. This is the one thing I've been pining after forever. When I tried Whole30 there were tons of recipes that included veggie noodles and my little hand held spiralizer just wasn't cutting it. Now that I know I'm doing a serious round after the new year I really want one! And I'd love to pair it with Inspiralized for more recipe ideas.

2 | iRobot Roomba. So I can make my cat ride on it (kidding, sort of). There is SO much dog and cat hair in my house I can't even handle it. How nice would it be to have this little guy taking care of that for me?

3 | Tropical Vacation. See how I can't really ask for this sort of thing? But really, it's been a long, long time since I was sprawled out on a beach somewhere with drink in hand. I don't just want it, I think I NEED it to keep my sanity. Maybe Santa will come through on this one, because I know my own paycheck won't!

4 | Winter kindle eBook. Ok back to realistic hopes. Recently Kristen got me hooked on the Lunar Chronicles. I've been zipping through them as quickly as I can get the eBooks from my library (because FREE). Now that I'm ready for the last one, it's too new and it's not available, meaning I'll have to actually buy it...unless I get it for Christmas!

5 | Merona Cozy Print Blanket Scarf from Target. I've now seen two friends wearing this scarf in person and it's even prettier and cozier than it looks online. I love the bright colors and Aztec print, it's perfection!

And that my friends, is one random-ass wish list. What are you lusting after this year?

Happy Friday! Linking up with Karli and Amanda.

  1. Cinder is on my to-read list this month! And I would DEFINITELY not turn down a tropical vacation. Here's to hoping Santa comes through for both of us!

  9. A spiralizer is a Whole 30 godsend! I love zucchini noodles with meat sauce. Easiest Whole 30 meal ever. But I've even seen people spiralize sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples!

I also desperately want to make my cat ride around on a Roomba :)

  11. I have that Spiralizer and love it... we use it a lot! And it's on SUPER sale right now. Just sayin'! I didn't really ask for much, either. We're thinking of moving and I'd rather save money for that!

  12. I love the Target blanket scarves-so soft and cozy! YES to Winter. I'm actually a little behind on the series because I read Cinder and Scarlet when they first came out and I prefer to read series books closer together, so I have Cress and Fairest chilling out on my Kindle, but someone needs to buy me Winter! lol

  14. Having a Roomba would be sooo nice. I've always been fascinated by them too! Haha. I need a blanket scarf from Target for sure. They feel so soft and warm! And I want a spiralizer like that. Ours is just a cylinder and you have to twist it around yourself. I want a crank one!

  15. The whole fun of a wish list is supposed to be to put down anything you want... even if it's expensive. But I feel the same way you do! I feel weird asking for anything over a certain amount. Still though, they're good reference for yourself, too!

  16. I thought the Roomba was a walkman CD player. I was thinking okay, so those are making a comeback now...lol. I've been pinning all kinds of recipes that require a spiralizer too. Eventually I'm going to get it!

  17. Oh goodness gravy, I would love a tropical vacation!! I'm so close to the Mediterranean that I feel like I should just pop over there and lay on the sand, but I'm in the same boat with that paycheck nonsense! xx AND I LOVE THE LUNAR CHRONICLES! I am dying to read Winter but I haven't gone and picked it up yet. I went out and bought the boyf a book he was pining for on a whim last week and he has yet to return the favor. HOW MANY HINTS MUST I GIVE? I've even said it outright! hahahha

  18. I have seen the Lunar Chronicles floating around on blogs and Goodreads but I haven't even taken the plunge to start reading them. Sometimes I think the description throws me off and I don't think it's something I would like. But seeing as you want to buy the last book in the series just to read it sooner rather than later they must be good, right? And you can't beat the library for FREE books. I just wish you didn't have to wait in line for ebooks!
