My Word for 2016

I've been seriously intrigued by all the "word of the year" posts floating around the blogisphere. Each one seems as poetic as the last, putting so much into one little word. It's funny how you can really encompass all your desires and goals for a year into a single word. And yet it all seems to fit.

I'd like to say I thought long and hard about my word. But that isn't the case. It kind of just came to me. It's what I need to do desperately, what I need to do to make myself better, what I need to do to be happy, successful, and live a full life in the New Year.

Thrive.

I want to be thriving in 2016.

"Grow or develop well or vigorously."

2015 was a stagnant year for me, other than in the blog world. My job, my personal life, every little thing in my life seemed to be stuck, un-growing.

That's why I need to make a change this year. Thrive, develop, bloom
  • I want to thrive in my work. Possibly in a new place with a better outlook and opportunities for personal growth.
  • I want to thrive in my love life. Appreciating the little things and soaking it in to the fullest.
  • I want to thrive in my relationships. Taking extra care to make those closest to me know how important they are.
  • I want to thrive in my well being. Flourishing in body and soul so that I can be truly happy with myself.
  • I need to thrive in change. Become better, happier and fuller. Every single day.

What is your word for 2016?

  1. YOU GO, GIRL. love the word and love what you plan to do in 2016. totally achievable, totally can be done. when you put yourself and your life as a priority, you will be happy! change is often shunned only because change can be scary but at the same time, change can be awesome as long as you embrace it.

  21. I should pick a word. Maybe rollercoaster? Because that's the forecast for 2016. Buying a house means going for a ride, but having a new house means YAY! Right? lol
