Oh HEEEYYE Friday

Happy Friday to all!

~Source~
It is one good Friday let me tell you, because yesterday my boss mentioned she was taking today off and the other two ladies in the office are also gone. So I of course had to pop the question - so do I need to be here then? NOPE. Peace out. Three day weekend here I come!
But let's get on with this post shall we?

Here are my 5 things on Friday!

1. I was so overwhelmed by the support and feedback I received after yesterday's post. It is an incredible feeling to know that people I've never met are there for me and are going through the same things. I think I am starting to better understand this blogging world and the outstanding network and support it provides. It gives me the warm fuzzies all over. To all you wonderful ladies who stopped by and commented, THANK YOU!

2. Something magical came in the mail yesterday...
Order yours on Amazon
I have been wanting one of these forever, because I LOVE noodles. Now that I've committed to getting healthy and fit I need a healthy substitute for those noodles I love so much. Enter zucchini, squash and cucumber noodles!
Here are some things I can't wait to try!

Zucchini Noodles with Pesto - From Two Peas & their Pod
Kung Pao Chicken Zoodles For Two  - From Skinny Taste

3.. This day off couldn't be more perfectly timed because tonight I am headed up to my friend Gina's cabin. I can't wait to float in the river, play games and have a couple beers (it's cheat day OK?). Having today off makes that trip so much easier - I have time to prep food, spend time with James before I leave and catch up on some much needed sleep that might not happen tonight. It is going to be our last big fling with Gina before she heads off to grad school so it's going to be a good night!

The gorgeous ladies that are headed up to the cabin with me!

4. I got my fat ass back to the gym for the first time in forever on Wednesday night. It felt soooo good. A couple notes from that work out though, a) this new hair cut is not cutting it and does not stay well in a ponytail, b) I kept getting cramps in my legs even though I drank a gallon of water that day #eatmorebananas c) I'm really sore today - leg day for the win.

Post gym selfie - sweat, sass and crazy ass hair...

5. I saw a double rainbow on Wednesday night after the above gym sesh. If you follow me on instagram you probably already saw it. Anyways I took it as a sign - a positive sign that I'm on the right track!

Have a beyond wonderful weekend everyone!

  1. That's awesome that you ended up with the day off - great way to kick off the weekend!

I've never heard of the Veggetti until now, but I'm pretty sure I NEED one!

  2. Let me know if the Veggetti works! That would be pretty epic :) Ummm there's an unlimited crab + beer (or in my case spirits) fest nearby in Maryland and the bf and I are soooooooooo going to be there and that kept me going... That and knowing home is very peaceful and a safe haven.. Glad you're doing better and hope you keep your spirits up! Have a great one LoLo and have a BLAST at the cabin with the ladies! -Iva

  3. Veggetti - I didn't know there was a thing. So I can make anything into magic noodles? Like cookie noodles? Wait, this is probably not how it works.

  5. I hope you had a fun weekend at your friend's cabin! I had an alcohol cheat day over the weekend too -- or maybe two cheat days if I have to be honest! I finally had a pool day and got to drink beer by the pool, and it was lovely. But then I drank too much of course and the next day sucked. But that didn't stop me from drinking two margaritas and three beers on Sunday.

I wish I could be a casual drinker. Sometimes it works -- and I have one or two beers and then stop. But 98% of the time, it doesn't work out for me. I recently told Kevin, my sister, and my best friend that I'm quitting 100%! ... It's only day 2 and I'm already thinking about all the beers I'll never get to taste or how I can't go tour breweries anymore or how I can't drink champagne on a Friday night. I don't know. Maybe it'll work out and I'll realize drinking is boring anyway... maybe!?

Sorry I just shared another life story in your blog comments!
