Fridayness

Friday. We made it.

This week kind of spiraled out of control for me. It went super fast but I also kind of feel like it kicked me several times in the ribs, so it evens out.

TGIF!! I wish I had a nice relaxing weekend ahead but instead it's going to be jam-packed. I hope I survive!

Alright, here are my five for Friday.

1 | #30PhotosInBetween. Are you participating in Helene's Instagram Photo challenge? It's my first daily Instagram challenge and so far I'm loving it ("it's all so hot 3 days in" name that movie!). I'm excited to have something to motivate me to get outside of my usual Instagram "box" of pet photos and daily life. I could use a little inspiration!

2 | Easter. It's my favorite holiday hands down. Last night I dyed eggs with my momma because it's a tradition. Last year I even tye-dyed my eggs! I just love the family time, spring weather, egg hunting and chocolate. Plus the excuse to wear a cute spring dress.

3 | Great moments this week. I know I said it's been a rough week, and it really has. But there were glimmers of awesomeness included. I had a girls night Wednesday and we went to the Dan + Shay concert down town. They, and there opener Canaan Smith were sooooo good! There aren't a lot of performers I can say are better live than on their albums but both were. Shay has some of the most amazing vocals I've ever heard and he reminds me of Gary (lead singer) from Rascal Flatts. Needless to say they have a new biggest fan. I also got to ride in the bucket of a fire truck 100 ft in the air. So there's that.

4 | Exhaustion. I don't know if it's this cough I have, or the time of the month, or being home alone, or the stress of work this week, but I'm beat. I just can't keep up and everything seems against me. I need a good, solid day of rest and there seem to be none in my immediate future. Can I just trade places with one of my best buds and sleep all day?

5 | Looking ahead. With weeks like this sometimes all you can do is look ahead. There are good things to come on the path you are on, always. I thought of that last night as I looked up and ahead on our usual dog walk route. It's easier to keep going if you keep your focus on the future and what lies ahead.

Have a great Easter weekend friends!

  5. Sorry you've had a crappy week! I've got a cough, too, so I feel your pain on that! And that quote is totally from SATC, right?! I meant to do Helene's challenge but forgot! It's really cool! Hope you have a great weekend and get some rest, if you can!

  7. Those eggs are so much fun! I haven't dyed eggs in years but we used to blow eggs (to remove the inside), cut them, and turn them into Christmas ornaments way back when. Those are always precious to me because they're so fragile and have survived all these years!

Hope you have a relaxing weekend and that next week is much better. :)

  9. Your eggs look great! I ended up dying mine alone on Easter morning (because tradition) and I loved every minute of it. I made myself a mimosa and just relaxed. I feel you on the whole 'I need a day to rest' thing, though; one morning of that isn't enough.

Omg last summer I saw Dan + Shay at a country fair concert and they were great! I'm glad to see they're still rolling along.

I'm all about pictures of dogs and cats on Instagram. That's why the internet was invented. But I love following your #30PhotosInBetween pictures. Oh, and that's from the first SATC movie, said by Miranda when they were at dinner in the resort restaurant. Boom.
