You know when you are out of commission for a long time and then you feel like you need to do everything at once?
Yeah, that's me today.
I made it out of bed and into work yesterday #forthewin
I'm very sorry I didn't make it for #hashtaghumpday, but I will next week, pinky promise!
So today I have a few things to check in with and some fabulous ladies to link up with!
First off, I've been absent from Thursty Thursday with my girl Kristin for way to long. After lots of curiosity about a drink I mentioned in this post, I felt the need to elaborate.
The beer-mosa (a.k.a. man-mosa or bro-mosa) is a hybrid of the classic mimosa.
For someone who
Can you spot the beer-mosa? |
Ingredients:
- light beer of your choice
- splash of orange juice to taste
- drink your beer down a little, add orange juice
- or if you are at a bar, ask for a "splash of orange juice" to your draft
- out at the ball park or camping? you can put the juice right in your can!
I know what you are thinking - that's super weird. Don't knock it till you try it! It will make any cheap light beer taste worlds better. Just think of it the same as adding an orange slice to your Blue Moon or a lime to your Corona. Same thing!
This week I also had Erin sweetly contact me regarding a pet link up. Since obviously I'm a sucker for any link up and especially talking about my pets, I had to join in! Today is meet the Canines!
If you are new around here, you may not know this handsome boy. He's pretty much my whole world.
Gunner stats: 2 year old pure bred Golden Retriever, weighing in at 72 lbs (all hair it seems)
Gunner loves: fetch, ball, fetch, more balls, going on car rides, snuggling with mom, the laser pointer and wrestling his little kitty brother.
Need an excuse to gush about your pet? Go link up!
And last, but not least, I have some blogger love to share! Two fab Kentucky ladies!!!
You can find my Life with Lolo intro post over at Bourbon, Lipstick and Stilettos today, via my very generous host Lindsay. She just recently launched her sponsorship program and it is worth every penny! Make sure to stop in and say hi and follow along with her beauty secrets, monthly favorites lists and a whole heap of other fun stuff at BL& S!
Also, I'm happy to welcome a new gal to my side bar - Brittany from The Lady Lawyer! Brittany's blog is all about "finding balance between work and play while always being a lady." A motto I can definitely stand behind - although I may need to work on a lady part a little... I'm so excited to have her here and I look forward to getting to know her better. Look for a guest or interview post with Brittany coming soon.
And that's all the random rambling I have for now! Back to bed rest and cough syrup for me...

ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I do not like the beermosa. I like Orange Shandy, I like a lemon in my beer... but I can't do red beer or beermosas. Call me crazy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shoutout! I'm a huge fan of the beermosa!!
ReplyDeleteOK, so I'm trying out that beermosa tonight! Because anything is better than straight Bay Light. Thanks for linking up love!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will feel better before the weekend!!!! Beermosas sounds awesome and like I need one. Right meow!

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that I need a beermosa...now...I don't care if it's 10:39am where I'm at...it has orange juice, right? Totally a morning drink.
ReplyDeleteI love Gunner's coloring. That coat is so rich and warm and inviting. I bet he's a great snuggler. Thanks for linking up!
What a cutie!! Such great coloring and that fur! I have a feeling a beermosa is in my plans for the weekend!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet for your shoutout! Thank you for this. And I've never had a beermosa but I need to try one now! Thanks again for you sweet words! Love working with you!
ReplyDeleteA beermosa?! GENIUS. I'll have to try it one of these days. And omgggg your pup is so adorable!!! Gah that face. Pets just make the world a better place. :D
ReplyDeleteGunner is SUPER cute :) I can see why you're moderately obsessed with him. Hope you're feeling better! I wasn't feeling tip top myself last week, sinus infection and all. Eh I don't like beer but I'm sure you enjoy that mimosa mixture very much :P I like my Mimosas with champagne nom nom nom :) Have a great weekend Laura -Iva
ReplyDeleteGunner is SO handsome! I have a two year old German shepherd husky girl and I think the two of them would look pretty darn good together. Although she's a bit of a ball hog so that could cause some relationship drama ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour dog is so adorable. ;) I love that he likes wrestling with his kitty sister. :) Found you on Erin's blog!
ReplyDeleteCheap beer..blech. Kidding! I'm totally okay with cheap beer because, well, it's cheap. I have to try this.
ReplyDeleteAnd Gunner...so handsome!
