#HASHTAGHUMPDAY | The First Day of Fall

So it's now officially fall. I know we were all jumping the gun a little the last few weeks now that the kiddos are back in school and brisk mornings have made their return.

But today is the actual day.

YAY!!!

Before I get into this fall edition of #hashtagging, go give some love to my partner in crime Lauren @ Genuinely Lauren.  She's pretty occupied being a dog mom of 3 at the moment, but she'll appreciate a hello!
#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo

First a little business. Here’s the scoop:
  • Each Wednesday create a post about what’s going on in your life and #hashtag each item or story. See an example HERE. Be as creative as you want!
  • Grab the button and include it in your post
  •  Link up so we can all #creep on you and find out what’s new/funny/awesome /shitty in your life.
  • Comment on at least one other blogger’s post from the link up (someone you don’t already know!) if there even is anyone who links up…
  •  Share on all your social sites with #hashtaghumpday
  • Have fun! #hashtagtheshitoutofeverything #whocaresifitsarealhashtag

Kapeesh?

Alrighty then, let's get started!

I did the unthinkable last Friday. I wore a shirt supporting my school's rival team. You see, the BF went to the local college here in town and I went to the other in-state university. Naturally we are rivals and it's gone back for generations, even just in my family. But since the BF is such a huge fan, and since their football team is actually good, I've let myself sway away from the deep hatred I once I had for them. And when he offered to buy me a suuuuuper nice half zip Nike pullover with their logo on it, I let him. He pitched in for a tailgate spot this year, and since I love tailgating and football in general I go. And guess what I wear?? I still hated it but I did it. Seriously the things we do for love #butitburnsmyskin #housedivided #itstillnotblueandorange

Then I did something even more stupid that Friday night. I let him take a picture. Guess who posted it on the interwebs for all my friends to see? #imgoingtokillhim #andmyfriendsaregoingtokillme #itwasforthefreebeeripromise #noyoucantseethepictureeither

So next game day, even if I wear the above pullover, I'm wearing my beloved Vandals gear underneath so I can flash my pride to anyone giving me shit #vandalforlife #letmeflashittoyou

I have my first half marathon this weekend. And by half marathon, I mean death by walking. My mom signed us up for this half marathon at the beginning of summer. I don't know if she expected us to run it or what (I don't think she's ever run a day in her life). We've been doing "training" walks to prepare, but I don't think it's enough. She asked me how long I thought it would take us, and the honest answer was FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. Of walking. #canyoutellimexcited #atleastimnotrunning #imstillcountingit #lotsofbeerafter

I went out both nights this weekend. It just re-affirmed that I'm too old for that kind of thing as I sit here still recovering. Booze is one thing but lack of sleep is the real kicker. #ineedmybeautysleep #walkingthedogat2amwasabadidea #imneverdrinkingagain #ohlookbeer!

What are you confessing this week? Link up and #hashtag it!

Also, my friend Alanna at Alanna and Co has a new confessions link up on Wednesdays too! Why not join both? Go check it out!

  3. Haha the Britney gif and dog-walking gif are perfect! Good luck on your half marathon. I've been thinking of signing up for one to pressure myself into training for one. We'll see about that.

  5. Best of luck with your first half! If nothing else, reach that finish line for the beer and the post race snacks that make you feel like you're playing youth soccer again.

  6. EEK- good luck this weekend! :) I actually love walking so walking a 1/2 weirdly sounds fun haha. You guys could always mix in like 1 minute of walking every 15 minutes or something too, just to keep you interested/engaged lol!

  7. I don't think I could walk 13.1 miles. On days when my Fitbit says I got 8 miles in I'm ready to pass out at like 9 p.m. And if I go out, I prefer it to be a Friday so I have Saturday AND Sunday to recover. Hahaha.

  8. I find it hilarious that you sold out for a free shirt. Haha just giving you a hard time. I am sure he appreciates your support. Relationships have demised over less. And I had to LOL at the half marathon. Sounds like pure torture. Good luck girl!

  9. Sports hoodies are for real comfy, though. I bought my husband and I both hoodies from my college team, and they are amaazing. So comfy, seriously. Although, I can only imagine that if the college he went to was a close rival, I would be pretty much hunted down if I got caught wearing the other teams' hoodie in a pic on FB haha, so I feel for ya.

  10. My last half marathon I did back in April up in Nashville, I pretty much walked the whole thing. I finished it in 3 hours and 10 mins. You'll definitely be surprised with yourself! Good luck, love bug!
