#HASHTAGHUMPDAY | I Like Craft Beer and I Cannot Lie

Halle- freaking-lujah friends, we made it to Humpday! It's an extra good humpday too because I have the day off for Veterans Day. Big shout out to the men and women who have, and continue to, serve our country. In the meantime I'll gladly take the day off in your honor as a government employee.

Also adding to the greatness of this humpday is the return of what I consider the "original" humpday confessions link-up! That's right friends, Kathy is back (remember ol' Vodka and Soda?) and she's teaming up with my friend Nadine too!!!

That means you now have a plethora of link ups to confess your face off to every Wednesday. #Hashtaghumpday with Lauren and I of course, Alanna for confessions as well as Plucky in Love, and then Kathy and Nadine! So much humpity-hump-day love!

#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo

First a little business. Here’s the scoop:
  • Each Wednesday create a post about what’s going on in your life and #hashtag each item or story. See an example HERE. Be as creative as you want!
  • Grab the button and include it in your post
  •  Link up so we can all #creep on you and find out what’s new/funny/awesome /shitty in your life.
  • Comment on at least one other blogger’s post from the link up (someone you don’t already know!) if there even is anyone who links up…
  •  Share on all your social sites with #hashtaghumpday
  • Have fun! #hashtagtheshitoutofeverything #whocaresifitsarealhashtag

Kapeesh?

Alright let's get right into it.

It's no secret that I like beer. A LOT. But I definitely found out this weekend that craft beer is my weakness. Particularly when visiting breweries, consecutively #pubcrawlforthewin

It always starts off harmless. "Let's go have a beer at X brewery that just opened before we go to dinner and a movie." Then it's "oh X just opened up down the street too? Might as well hit that too. What about skipping the movie and doing a mini brew tour?" And that's when my heart eyes emoji sets in on BF who made the suggestion #yesplease #beeristhewaytomyheart

There may have been a Raspberry Brown Ale that changed my life. We've all had those fruity beers right? Usually wheat or a pale ale. This was their brown ale. Infused with LOCAL raspberries. It was the best damn beer I've had in a while. Two please! And  then I realized the alcohol content.6.3% sneaks up on you #imalightweightthesedays #iloveeveryoneafter3beers

We end up at our third new-to-us brewery and I'm loving life. But wait it get's better. All those pumpkin beers we've been raving about? They suck. Compared to the butternut squash Harvest Ale that is. This was the most fall-ish, delicious, amazing beer. I wish I could send you all a pint. Or a growler #yougetaharvestale #harvestalesforeveryone!

The kicker? The Harvest Ale is even more potent than the Raspberry Ale at the last place. Ringing in at 7.3%, and with that down the hatch I'm in full on drunk mode #butlovingit

And drunk Laura thinks we need to be members at the place that makes Harvest Ale because it's that good. And there's only 9 memberships left. And it can be for Christmas pretty, pretty, please! And that's the story of how I got Christmas in November #thanksboyfriend #illsharetheperksipromise

After a spendy membership, a few more beers and keeping them way past closing I insisted on going to ANOTHER brewery because it was 3 doors down #makesperfectsense #iobviouslyneededmore

That last beer left things a little fuzzy. All I know was there was Jack in the Box involved #noshame

So what was supposed to be a harmless date beer and a trip to see Spectre ended in so much yummy craft beer that we both passed out with our clothes on #werespeciallikethat

I woke up Sunday not feeling so good. I had plans to go to Body Pump and made myself go to that 9:30 class, only to be shaking uncontrollably the whole time and sweating pure alcohol #dontmindme #iwasperfectlysoberlastnight #whydidicome

Would I do it all again? I'd like to say no, but who are we kidding? #ILOVEBEER

What did you over-indulge in this week? Confess!

  1. Now you've got me wanting a fast food burger. Hahaha. So hungry! Also I can't believe you dragged yourself to that class the next morning. I let myself out of things like that for much less! (Which is not a good thing! Haha.)

  2. Hahaha, I love your comment about having the day off as a government employee. I also work for the government & definitely enjoy not being at work right now! Craft beer is delicious so there is nothing wrong with a doing a brewery crawl, haha. The raspberry beer sounds fantastic! Can you send me a sample?! Your hastags about Body Pump crack me up because it's so true!

  6. This sounds like so much fun and something my best friend and I would do, then Gabriel would be pissy with having to come pick up the two drunk beavers.

  11. Ahhhh, you make me wish I liked beer. You're a champ, though. Damn! Where the heck are there four breweries just 2 doors down from one another?! It sounds like a place my hubby would enjoy!

  12. I am convinced whoever creates the Jack in the Box menu are drunk at the time because how good is Jack in the Box when you're drunk?? Or maybe they just have focus groups that they get wasted before they taste-test their menu. That Raspberry Brown Ale sounds like it needs to be in my life.

  13. I can't really do beer anymore. I get so bloated that I only end up having one and not feeling so good. I'm a wino for sure though.

  14. Ha, insert wine for beer and you've summed up my vice.
