#HASHTAGHUMPDAY | the day of my birth

Woooohoooo! It's my day folks. The celebration of my birth some 28 years ago. Do I feel that different? No. Did I have a big birthday post planned that I didn't actually write? You guessed it! Maybe next year right?

But I still couldn't pass up the opportunity to have my birthday on #hashtaghumpday! I mean, what are the odds? (And no, don't throw out there 1/7 because that was rhetorical)

Before we get into it, let me remind you you have a plethora of link ups to confess your face off to every Wednesday. #Hashtaghumpday with my partner in crime Lauren and I of course, Alanna for confessions as well as Plucky in Love, and then Kathy and Nadine! So much humpity-hump-day love!

#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo

First a little business. Here’s the scoop:
  • Each Wednesday create a post about what’s going on in your life and #hashtag each item or story. See an example HERE. Be as creative as you want!
  • Grab the button and include it in your post
  •  Link up so we can all #creep on you and find out what’s new/funny/awesome /shitty in your life.
  • Comment on at least one other blogger’s post from the link up (someone you don’t already know!) if there even is anyone who links up…
  •  Share on all your social sites with #hashtaghumpday
  • Have fun! #hashtagtheshitoutofeverything #whocaresifitsarealhashtag

Kapeesh?

I confess, this year for my birthday, I straight up asked my parents for $$. I need to buy a plane ticket for another destination bachelorette party this summer, and they are helping with the cost. All I can say is I am so very blessed to have the generous parents I have. San Fran here I come! #goodthingtheyloveme #alwayslookingforahandout

Yesterday at work I had a failure. Or at least that's how I saw it. I am way, WAY too attached and invested in my job. I want to be perfect, I want to succeed. When something goes wrong I take it way too personal. My coworkers do a good job helping me get over it, but still - the passion leads me to getting upset and that's the way it is #itsmybirthdayicancryifiwantto

I still have a hard time saying no. We've all seen those posts and self help tips that it's healthy and good for you to say no once in a while. Well, I still suck at it. I want to please everybody and do every little thing, but I just can't. Then I feel guilty when after several excuses I just have to admit "I just don't want to." It makes me feel like a horrible person #ineedtogetagrip #livelifeforme

Birthday calories don't count. Just need to put that in here somewhere #asisuckdownanoreoshake #andboughtminicadburyeggs

That is really all I have for you this week. I meant to have a really inspirational 30 before 30 at the age of 28 post today, but life got in the way. Sometimes you just have to take life as it comes at you, one work disaster, milkshake and birthday at a time.

Cheers!

  8. Happy Birthday!!! Yes, birthday calories don't count. Also, I am so with you on work. I was SUPER close to crying at work yesterday because I am overwhelmed and all it took was someone to question a silly check request of all things. I had to walk away and take a breather. Whoops.
