So it looks like thing only thing I can seem to show up for around these parts is #hashtaghumpday. So here it is!

I promise (there I put it in writing) that this week I will actually go read and comment on all you lovely linkers' posts. I have been slacking and it's not alright. Today is the day! (or tomorrow let's be realistic).

Before we get into it, let me remind you you have a plethora of link ups to confess your face off to every Wednesday. #Hashtaghumpday with my partner in crime Lauren and I of course, Alanna for confessions as well as Plucky in Love, and then Kathy and Nadine! So much humpity-hump-day love!

#Hashtaghumpday @ Life with Lolo

First a little business. Here’s the scoop:
  • Each Wednesday create a post about what’s going on in your life and #hashtag each item or story. See an example HERE. Be as creative as you want!
  • Grab the button and include it in your post
  •  Link up so we can all #creep on you and find out what’s new/funny/awesome /shitty in your life.
  • Comment on at least one other blogger’s post from the link up (someone you don’t already know!) if there even is anyone who links up…
  •  Share on all your social sites with #hashtaghumpday
  • Have fun! #hashtagtheshitoutofeverything #whocaresifitsarealhashtag

Does anyone feel like things always happen at the worst time possible? Like me f*ing up my ankle during Whole30 and getting sick at the same time? Well of course the saga continues. Because of the job change I have a one month gap in insurance coverage. No big deal right? And that's actually awesome the new job picks up so quick! But guess what happens when you don't have insurance? You suddenly have the need to see a doctor #fml #timingiseverything #anditsucks

Here's the nitty gritty. I have an eye situation. I self-diagonosed it as blepharitis. It's not pink eye. I've been there done's just some weird deal with my eyelid. Only one of them too. And in any other circumstance I would obviously see a doctor. But this month? Self treatment for the win #doctorbillscansuckit #aprilwillbemysavinggrace

That's not the only thing though. I also really need insurance so that I can afford to go to the physical therapist. Guess what else Laura has been Googling? #anklephysicaltherapy #rehabathome #imthedoctornow

Yes, I am very aware these might not be the best things to be putting off. However, financially I just can't afford to pay full ticket price at the doctor right now. So if you have any insight on either issue, please feel free to help a girl out #freeadviceisthebest #justfixmewouldyou? #prettyplease

In other news, they got me. They being the Girls Scouts. They are always perfectly positioned. I can't ignore them or find a way around into the grocery store. The horror however was that they were OUT of Thin Mints. I mean really? #unacceptable #thinmintsarethebest #teamthinmint

So I had to settle on a box of Tag-a-Longs and I donated a dollar to their charity of choice on top of that. Then came the hard part. Keeping them for myself. I honest to God hid those cookies in my dresser to keep them from the BF. And not just like closed in a drawer, I mean under the clothing. I knew if he found them at all they would be gone in one sitting so drastic measures were needed. #dontmesswithmycookies #theactualcookiemonster

I started to feel so guilty about the hiding situation that I just took them to work. I'm not hiding them from him if they are at work right? #illjusttellmyselfthat #theresonly3leftanyway #fatasserypartyofone

And that's all I have for this week. What are you confessing? Join in and link up!

  1. The Girl Scouts got me on my way inside Tractor Supply. I said, "Sorry, I don't carry cash on me." The little girl responds, "You can get cash back inside." Touché Girl Scouts, touché. My favorites are the peanut butter patties.

  2. Hahaha... I took my box of Trefoils to work with me and proceeded to eat the entire thing over the course of a few days. No shame. Didn't want my kids to devour them. Glad to see you here today, I feel you on the struggle right now!

  3. No shame in hiding GSC at work. That's where I keep mine :) It totally SUCKS when you don't have ins. and you need it desperately. I come off my parents' in Oct. and even though I go straight on to my husband's, it's a shittier insurance and I know I'll probably get sick right away and we'll have to pay more because his ins. sucks. UGH.

  4. you can totally rehab outside of the physio office. you just need to start slow and be sure that you do things safely.

  5. I've never had a Girl Scout cookie in my life but I understand perfectly because Mini Eggs have been my downfall lately. I was at a jewelry party at my cousins on Saturday and there was a jar full of mini eggs and if you guessed it right you won the prize (not the mini eggs). The host didn't want the mini eggs so guess who ended up with them and has ate a handful for breakfast the last few days.......

  6. I would totally hide boxes of Girl Scout cookies if I could get my hands on them. Also? Insurance is a pain in the ass. I hope it all comes together very soon!

  7. ha-ha I've NEVER been fooled by the girl scouts, I will sometimes turn around and go back later when they're all home tucked in their rooms reading their homework. I will not encourage their cookie peddling, I remember having to wash cars for fundraisers or knocking on doors to sell wreaths and swags. They go straight to the consumer tap!

  8. hahahaha KC wanted to buy some girl scout cookies and i straight up said no. i don't actually like them (gasp) but would eat them if they were in the house. and i feel you on the self diagnosing and doctors.. i have insurance but hate going to the doctor so i almost always go that route haha. and yay all the gifs, love the doctor who one :)

  9. I've been able to avoid the slave laborers (Girl Scouts), lol. But cookie season is not over yet. I was going through our snacks basket and Teh German commented that we had so many sweets and I was like, blame your mother for sending you a birthday package! Then he pointed out that my Harry Potter jelly beans were straight sugar and I just pointed at the bag of Haribo gummies that his mom sent and said nothing. #Iwon.

Also, I have high deductible insurance, which means that I go to the doctor with a list of ailments. #helpmeImpoor

  10. Being the doctor is totally what I would do in that situation too. No insurance, no appointments! I never ever have cash but the one time I did there were Girl Scouts, of course. Luckily I don't have to hide them because Michael can't eat gluten so they are allll mine! Ha!

  11. Oh my gosh, I do the same thing with my Girl Scout cookies. I have a half-eaten box of Thin Mints hidden from the hubby & child. Believe me, if they were not hidden, I would still not have them. Ha, ha!

& the Knocked Up GIF about pink eye - one of my favorite scenes from that movie. Cracks me right up! Tee hee!

  12. Ugh, I hate insurance. Hope it all works out soon!

  13. Oh girl, sharing girl scout cookies...I gotta agree with Joey on that one! Ugh so so sorry about the whole eye and physical therapy thing, I still don't understand why some countries have free healthcare and working people have to put off going to the doctor and getting help!

  14. I always seem to have something come up when I am in between insurances. I hope you feel better!!! I have avoided the girl scouts like the plague!! They are set up everywhere around here. Keep your demon cookies away from me I say! Hahahahaha.
